Cinemem

Support

A private journal for the movies you watch.

Cinemem keeps a personal record of your movie-watching: what you saw, when, where, who you were with, your rating, and whatever you want to remember about it. Everything stays on your device — there is no account and no feed.

Getting help

If something isn't working, or you have a question, a request or a bug to report, send an email. It helps to include your iPhone model, your iOS version, and what you were doing when the problem happened.

Common questions

Where is my data stored? Only on your iPhone. Cinemem has no server and no account system, so there is nothing to sign into and nothing stored elsewhere. See the privacy policy for the details.

Is my journal backed up? It is included in your device's own iCloud or computer backup, the same way other app data is. Cinemem itself does not sync or upload anything, so deleting the app removes the journal from that device.

Why does movie search need an internet connection? Film titles, posters and details come from TMDb (The Movie Database), which is looked up online when you log a memory. Everything you have already logged stays readable offline.

How do I delete everything? Settings → Delete all data. This permanently erases every memory, person and place from the device and cannot be undone.
